Who we are

Kiln Forged is an early-stage student startup founded by Elijah Burns and Charlie Bauer at The University of Alabama. This policy explains what we collect on kilnforged.com and how we use it.

What we collect today

• Waitlist sign-ups: your email address and, if you choose to share it, what you'd like to build.
• Projects you start in the preview: stored only in your own browser (local storage). We don't receive them.
• Basic server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell personal information.

How we use it

• To email you about early access, pricing and launch news. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand what people want to build, so we prioritise the right devices and engines.

AI processing (future)

When the design engines launch, the descriptions and designs you submit may be processed by third-party AI model providers to generate specs, code and explanations. We'll name those providers here, and we'll choose options that don't use your content to train their models where available.

Your designs

You own the designs you create. We only use them to provide the service, and won't publish them without your permission.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the site (for example hosting and email). They process data only on our behalf.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
• Ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.

Children

Kiln Forged isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
